Kargyr - Kargyr / French metal project Kargyr proudly uses various influences taken from many metal genres (bands like Opeth, Hacride, Meshuggah, Gojira, The HU, Alien Weaponry) on his new self-titled EP and adds exotic eastern harmonies to the already brimming melting pot. His goal and passion is to infer as much contrast as possible in his music. On Kargyr, you will find this contrast in the mix of djent, headbanging grooves with etherical, dissonant harmonies. From a human perspective, two voices cohabit; one clean and etherical and his saturated, frantic twin. Sometimes you will be face-to-face with a whole choir of fanatic voices. The Kargyr EP is made to make you ears travel and your neck workout! The atmospheres vary a lot from one song to the other, Aura being the main source of light and hope to the record. The Abyss on the other hand, speaks to the despair and fate that accompanies human fate. Chronophobic shares an equal part of light and darkness, with brutal changes that will leave you out of balance and finally, Sword brings a direct, melodic picture on the violence lived by the mind during it's rite of passage from childhood to adulthood.back to top
